Permanent Roofing
Some companies now offer roofing shingles that last forever rather than just 15-20 yrs. They seem to be made ofmetal or composite materials and are more expensive than ashphalt but last for several genarations; like European roofs. Has anyone had these installed? Please tell us about it.

Solar Pool Heating

Cleaners. This is a regular request. Members seem to be less generous about sharing their cleaners, and reliable individuals are often busy. Do you have a cleaner who is looking for more work - or maybe a cleaning service you can recommend? If you don't want to list your cleaner at askaround.ca (maybe s/he only has one opening or you just don't feel comfortable) then send me an email I'm going to keep a private list for cleaners as well as the regular Ask Around recommendations.

Spray Painting. Marilyn sent me this useful idea:
I have been trying to find a business or person who does professional spray painting of (say) furniture, kitchen cabinet doors etc. You can’t watch a decorating show on TV without them spray painting something instead of replacing it! But of course, the shows are all from Toronto! Have you heard of a business who does this in the Ottawa/Orleans area?
Maybe a decorating or real estate members can share a spray-painting resource in Ottawa?
